Story
In May 2012 I will be hiking for five full days along the Great Wall of China!
Why? Because I want to help raise money for Animals Asia. Animals Asia does amazing work saving the beautiful and gentle Moon Bears from a lifetime of unspeakable cruelty. Locked away in cages no bigger than their bodies, sometimes for 25 years, these beautiful creatures are milked of their bile through metal catheters jabbed painfully into their abdomens. This bile is used in traditional Chinese medicine. However, research sponsored by Animals Asia has now conclusively demonstrated that this physical and psychological torture is totally unnecessary - there are herbal preparations that are equally effective and much, much more hygenic.
Please help me make a difference to saving the Moon Bears.
